Painting with Light is a photographic process I began developing in high school. With the camera fixed to a tripod, I move through a scene one small area at a time, repositioning the light and creating a separate exposure for every illuminated detail.

In Photoshop, I composite the selected areas into a single frame, then refine the color, contrast, and values until the individual exposures resolve as one image. Some final pieces combine hundreds of separately lit moments, producing a quality of light that could not exist in a single exposure.
