Columbia Care
Columbia Care was an early multistate medical cannabis operator growing across a highly regulated and fragmented retail landscape.
At Gravy Boat Regatta, I helped develop a comprehensive identity pitch designed to unify the brand across dispensaries, cultivation facilities, communications, and environmental touchpoints. My work included art direction and design for the logo, visual system, signage, digital applications, motion, and OOH. The larger pitch was not awarded, though the logo direction appears to have continued with the brand.

Many locations.
Every touchpoint connected.
Built for Different Places
The central challenge was consistency. Each building, interior, and market brought different spatial constraints, local regulations, and customer journeys. We created a flexible system around a recognizable mark, a clear typographic hierarchy, and an ownable color palette, giving every location a shared visual language without forcing every site into the same template.
A Brand Built to Travel
The platform “See What’s Possible with Cannabis” connected education with discovery. Bold blue fields, modular illustration, and direct messaging gave the brand a confident but approachable voice. The visual grammar could move from opening announcements and product education to print, murals, transit, and OOH while remaining immediately recognizable.
From Screen to Storefront
The identity extended into the practical parts of the customer experience, from mobile commerce and location discovery to storefront graphics, transit placements, and branded objects. Every application used the same core ingredients, allowing the system to feel coherent at scales ranging from a phone screen to an entire facade.
